Machines Inquiry

We've just started using our iPads 5 schools days ago because that's when we got our cases.  So, our first project is still in progress.  We've followed student interest which has led us to learning about machines.  Students have been taking photos and video of their learning of investigating old computers.  They've been using educations to record their wonderings and add text.  Other kinders are using the iPads in our class' "Santa's Workshop" where they are building toy machines.  The iPads are always in demand and kinders are most excited to record their learning and wonderings.

Kinderland is getting iPad minis today!!!

Mrs. Maxwell was at an IIT teacher workshop today learning about and getting iPad minis for our classroom.  Our class was accepted to receive 5 iPad minis in a technology program grant.  Mrs. Maxwell submitted an application in September with the inquiry question, "which iPad apps are the most effective and engaging in promoting success and student achievement in early learning".  We are very excited about this new addition to Kinderland.
